is it safe to color hair while breastfeeding?

  • Yes. The chemicals in it are not absorbed into the skin like they used to. You many not be able to handle the odor of it but it won't hurt you.

  • It depends on who you ask. My doctor said it wasn't worth the risk at any time during the pregnancy. My hair stylist said it was fine. My friends doctor said it was ok, but only during the second trimester.
    Since no one could give me a definite answer, I just waited until after I had the baby to get my hair colored again.

  • I am not pregnant anymore I am breastfeeding now. I never color during pregnancy and since my little one is latched so well for the first time ever I want to breastfeed

  • I don't see any problem with it. Some people even say now it's safe to color hair while pregnant as well.
