if your fiance has terrible credit, and you have none since you are so young, and never got a credit card.. when you get married, will you have terrible credit from him?

  • You assume each others debts if you are in a community property state.... so it depends on your state.

  • No, his credit does not effect yours, just make sure you do not put your name on any credit with him, or any previous debts. A credit score does not get combined no matter where you live, but you may become responsible for a balance and if you don't pay it will then effect your credit.
