  • For very bad rashes, Triple Paste IS great, but as mentioned, a bit pricey. Desitin also works well, I prefer the Desitin Creamy. I HATE Balmex. For mild rashes, breast milk is good. I also have a nipple cream, Motherlove Nipple Cream, that can be used as a diaper ointment. A&D ointment is also good for mild rashes.

  • My DD loves desitin. Old wives tale, 4 tbs of baking soda per quart of warm water, wipe the baby's bottom with that. Also, you can prevent diaper rash by a very light coat of vegetable shortening onto his bottom, it forms a moisture barrier.
