Have you heard this before???

My dd is almost 8 mths and my FIL told me the other day "Dont let her stand like that it will make her bow legged"
I was like whhhaaattt??
Have you heard this?
I dont believe it! BUT it was just weird his sister said it too the same day lol (christmas)

  • the only thing i've ever heard of with the possibility of giving the child bow-legs is leaving them in the type of jumper thats attached to the door frame

  • If your child is making the effort to "stand", let her. Just watch for her to get tired and then stop! Her legs will be fine. =)

  • My daughter's foot goes to the one side. Her pediatrician says that it's normal when learning to walk, as is bowlegs, and pigeon toes, and it's nothing to worry about. At least not, yet.

  • she's got to figure out what is comfortable and what is not comfortable so she can build the right muscles. Stride Right (Rite?) has shoes for early walkers. I was pigeon toed as a baby and had to have a cast on my leg to fix it... I think if she's not standing correctly, the pediatrician will tell you. You can always ask at your next appointment!
