  • The tradition in our area is to eat pork and sauerkraut. The more you eat, the more luck you are to have in the New Year.

  • We eat pork and sauerkraut and I think it is a German tradition since so many around here are German. Have always done that growing up and have continued since I moved out.

  • We have black-eyed peas and tamales to bring us good luck and prosperity in the new year. It's more a tradition than a superstition.
