  • My pets have human names. I'd go with a human name if I were you.
And I guess it would depend on the cat. Or just what I felt. It's hard to say what someone else should name their cat. When my hubby went away to a school, I went to get a kitten. We named her before we even left the mall. I think I had her name before we even picked her out actually. Maggie.

  • I agree that the name should be based on the cat.

We have three, Samoa, Marbles and Jinksy Winksy

  • Our cat's name is Bella. When we moved to our current house and let her out we wanted her to come in we just shouted Bella, Bella. After a time we realized that the new neighbour's wife looked at us weird every time we called the cats. They even came outside. A couple of weeks and we found out the neighbour's wife's name is Bella as well. Mahahahahhahaw:P We knocked on their door and introduce our cat to them. And we told we didn't make joke from the wife:P

  • I think the name should be chosen on personality, or by a feature. We had a cat that had an extra toe on each foot, and we named him Bear because his feet looked like bear claws.
