I need help booking plane tickets online?

Hey ladies, my husband and I just decided to visit some family in Fort Worth, TX in February. I have never done this, but what is a good site to book your tickets and should I wait until the first of the year? Are rates cheaper if I wait? Any info or tips would be great.

Thanks....Happy New Year!

  • orbitz, expedia, priceline, they are all good and you can try the airlines themselves. The sooner you buy them the cheaper they are , last minute tickets cost you the most.

  • They will be more expensive from Jan. Try to get it now. Go to the airline's page what you want to use and reserve the tickets from their.

  • Check American Airlines, and Delta. I've found their tickets to be very reasonable for round-trip. And it's usually cheaper if you book in advance. You can always try Southwest, but they don't fly into DFW airport, and that can be a big headache. Of course that's just my opinion. :)

  • I just compared prices of the sites listed here. Orbitz beat them all by $100 for a trip I have coming up

  • Go to Expedia, then check the airlines websites directly. (American Airlines and Southwest aren't on Expedia.)
