I saw something on the news that women's shelters as well as homeless shelters across the nation are in need of these items. When the storm that has hit us passes through I'm donating all my old kids clothes to the women's shelter.
So instead of having those old things sit in storage for who knows how long have a great time cleaning that area out and help people in need and take those clothes right down to the shelters. Don't donate it to some second hand shop since they see profits. Donate them to people who will actually get them items that are in dire need of them.

Also, if you have old clothes (worn/stained) etc, check with your local girl scouts.. Our girl scouts are cutting squares from unwearable clothes and taking the good squares and making quilts to give to homeless shelters.... Other scouts may have similar projects going on.... Also~Those who sew, there is another great project I have my girls and myself committed to doing, The One Million Pillow Case Challenge...... Hobby for a cause!

I'm a minimalist at heart, and LOVE to clear out the clutter! ;o)
ME TOO!!!! I love a clean de-cluttered house!!! Moving every 18 months-2 years~ we de-clutter and donate every 3 or 4 months.... Also, my 9 year old has learned to knit... A family friend suggested she make baby blankets for women's shelters.... Now she has a purpose... So great to see kids engage...
