In the spring I would like to start running - then eventually run 5k's and 10k's in our area.. If you are a runner, what do you do before you run - food wise /calorie / carb wise? did you start out slow or push through it pretty fast?
Someone at my office does half marathons. I'll ask her tomorrow about her training program. I know she has a fairly detailed training schedule. I know she starts training about 3 or 4 months before a race, so she must be pushing pretty hard from the beginning. She had someone train with her the first time, and she told me it was a lot easier to stick with it when someone else was counting on her to be there.
