When do i get my period?

I had a miscarriage Nov 23 2010, should't i get my period for the month of Dec? well i haven't seen it, my doctor called me last week saying that i had to come get my blood drawn because my hcg level was still high due to the miscarriage. Now 2 weeks have passed she called again n she needs more blood cause m hcg level is still high. now m waiting n i don't know what to think did i get pregnant again? cause right after i stop bleeding i started trying again, anyone please shed some light in my situation cause m going crazy.

  • Well if your hcg level is still high maybe your still pregnant or not everything passed. Have her do an ultrasound. As far as your period my doc said anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks. Good luck!

  • Sorry missed the part about getting pregnant again. Its possible. Doc said after miscarriage you can be highly fertile. Ask for that ultrsound

  • Either you did not have a complete miscarriage ( part of the placenta is still intact) or you are pregnant again. You are always more fertile following a miscarriage so it's possible. I'd want an ultrasound done to check for either part of the placenta or a developing embryo.

  • thanks 2autisticsmom i actually ask for that ultrasound n my doctor denied me,she claim it won't do any good she'll rather keep drawing blood 'til my hcg goes down n m soo stress about drawing blood every week i just don't know wats going on with me.
