How do you know if you have what it takes to be an art student?

  • Show some of your work to a professional artist or college art teacher. If people say your work is good it probably is.

  • If you love showing things in a visually interesting and asthetic (pretty or pleasing) way, or enjoy applying asthetics to funcional items, then you would probably make a good art student. Whatever your niche is, if it makes you happy and you think it could benefit others in some way, then I would go. If you think that you need work in some areas, try finding some local development workshops at first, so that you can develop a portfolio (a good portofolio contains a wide variety of your BEST WORK).
