Is there some sort of baby proofing device that keeps babies from pulling cords out of outlets?

I know there are those plastic things that you plug into electrical outlets, that is not what I am looking for. Do they make something to put over the whole electrical outlet plate that will keep babies from pulling cords out of the wall?

  • Ok, this is similar to mine: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2792248

We also use them behind the couch so the lamp cord is protected and doesn't get pushed into the back of the couch.

  • Yes. I have a couple, but I can't remember where I got them. It's a plate that you replace the switch plate with, and it has a little plastic dome that clicks in over the plate, covering the outlet heads.

  • Yes, it's like a big box that goes over the whole outlet. I got them at Home Depot.
