  • My daughter was 8 when she stopped on her own. I asked the dr about it and he said to go to the library and get a book about thumb sucking not sure what it is called anyway he said he stopped at the age of 13 and saw nothing wrong with it. The book may help. GL

  • I'm planning on just waiting it out. Kids eventually outgrow it. Pediatrician said it wasn't a concern until around 5 (in her view anyway). I've noticed that my son (3 1/2) is starting to do it less and less without any help from me.
