Hard pimples with no head.

I can handle the white heads and black heads but these ones on my cheeks... They start as a colorless hard lump and then they turn reddish and never get a head. They stick around for months before I finally go at them with a needle and then they go away. I don't get acne very often.

How do I get rid of them quicker? I use acne cream on them when they come just makes them flaky
