why is everyone still blaming Bush?

its been 2yrs. can we just get over it. just put him in the past. just move on. will we be blaming Bush in 2012 if Obama loses the elections? will we be blaming Bush when he wins the election? I just don't still get it. we need to put the PAST president in the past. I understand everyone president makes some kind of historical difference in this country but i think way too many are fixating on him.

i do not really follow politics but i just seen so many people pointing fingers at bush and its just getting a little tiring.

  • Just like all presidents....past presidents get blamed for the bad...never remember the good. Current presidents take the kudos for good things and blame others for the bad....Its all the same....

  • Blaming Bush wont last much longer as a valid excuse for a failing economy, failing policies etc. The thing is if Bush was so bad why is Obama upholding some of the very things people were mad at Bush for? Were still at war. We still have the Patriot act. Obama extended tax cuts for the rich. So we still have many of the same policies but were more in debt, still have no jobs, the economy still sucks and we have a health care bill that will likely be found unconstitutional.

  • Because, as long as they can blame President Bush, they don't have to lay the blame where it truly belongs--squareley at the feet of the almighty can do no wrong Obama! He's been in office long enough now, that to continue blaming Bush is just petty and stupid. This mess we are in now, is all Obama! But, him and his minions wil continue the blame game, cause it fits their agenda. Sadly, the rest of us can see him for who and what he truly is, and we are all paying the price and suffering because of it.

  • Because it's the easy thing to do when you don't fully understand how the economy or the government works.

  • Because the progressive liberals are the "it's not my fault" and "blame anyone else" mentality. The dem. Congress passed the appropriations bill (as all Congresses do) which started this downward spiral. Bush let Congress work as they do. Now, PBO went to Congress, held behind closed door meetings with the dem. caucus, called representatives to the WH, made phone calls and the like to get legislation passed. He campaigned on the road to get citizens to stop calling and asking the representatives to vote no. He will have a hard time saying he didn't participate in the legislative process. He doesn't understand the separation between the Executive and the Legislative Branch.

  • As long as they talk about Bush and how bad her was, they think it takes the attention off them and their mistakes. Yes, they are continuing many of Bush policies. If they work, it will touted as their plan, if they don't, they will be blamed on Bush again.
