1 Bump

daughter three has strong order "down there" adult content

never has had before
smells like strong urine
she is not sick
no rash, no fever, normal self, no discharge, no itching
she is bathed two times a week (more in non winter dry weather)

anything I should be looking for, she seems to have no discomfort, she is getting lots of liquid, just strong urine smell

three weeks ago, pin worms were in her daycare, she has had no signs of this

  • Shorten bath time. Keep the air in the house moist by using a vaporizer or humidifier going 24/7. its more dry air than the water that dries your skin out

  • My Son has sensitive skin & I bathe him every day & use Johnson's Baby Wash. I then moisturize him immediately when he comes out all over with Curel original body lotion. Your daughter needs to bathe daily. A quick bath soaking & moisturized thoroughly especially since she is in daycare.

  • Sounds like she requires more baths. You need warm water and soap to get into the pores to get the urine out of her skin folds

  • used to bathe her more
    but she developed rash
took her to doctor a month ago
and doctor said less baths in winter, drying her skin, and over the counter lotion

maybe just up to every ohter day bath, and lots more of that lotion the doctor had me get so her dry rash areas do not come back

  • Do you have a detachable shower head? You can give her showers in the cold months. Its the soaking in the tub water that dries the skin out.

  • no deatachable head
maybe I can do shallower baths, her torso was the area she had broken out in hive like rash
but the lotion seemed to help, now almost healed,
if I put epson salts in bath, will this help with dry areas, while still getting benefit of bath for her bottom area
or will the salts stop soap from being able to soap up and do its thing
her baths do not have any bubble bath soap, just warm water and bar soap her
do not want dry rash back

  • her doctor said cut back on baths in winter dry weather
    used to abth daily
now bath two times a week, and special lotion like doctor advised
her rash is better, was so bad that I took her into a doctor , and rash came on very fast, took a while to heal
was very itchy, causing her discomfort, front and back of torso
now that rash is better, will try to up baths again

can a bath with epson salts help soften water? does this make a film though that soap will not do its job?

still will do the special lotion after bath before totally dry
