I'm not sure, perhaps they did and that would make them liars too.

  • Am I the only one here who remembers seeing night vision footage of something being moved across the border? I was under the impression we followed UN sanctions before going to war with them. Which meant we let them know when we were going to attack. Coincidentally in the few nights before we attacked things were being moved into Iran.

It IS possible Bush was lied to and then he was made to look like the bad guy. Oh wait! I can't say such a thing.

  • If you look back to (or remember) the climate in the country prior to us going to war, the general consensus (both parties) was that SOMETHING had to be done, and that there was an imminent threat. It wasn't only the US - there were Canadian, French, UK, and Swedish troops involved. The world (at least the UN) felt that there was a threat, and the US acted on it. (First, I think - but it's been awhile). I don't think it was a "lie" I believe that everyone acted on the information they had. (Gathered from several countires intel, not just the US, btw)

If anything, the reaction to weapons of mass destruction was a group-think; there were very few (I don't recall how many) Democrats who said NO! It was a bi-partisan decision.
