How to help my son w/ constipation

I took him to the doc and he said that it is normal to only have a bowel 2-3 times a week. His are now coming 5 days apart and are very uncomfortable. what can I do

  • Increase his fiber and water intake. Try to get him to eat an applesauce or fruit each morning. Some people say to try prune juice or orange juice. I'd water it down though because it gives some kids bad cramps. Sorry that's all I got, Good luck!

  • i have answered this question soooo many times its funny but this is coming straight from my doctor use about threee ounces of water and a dollop of dark karo syrup it will work and it will not hurt your child
