Ideas for Italian Bread

I went nuts and made about a dozen loafs of Italian bread. Any recipes or suggestions what I can do with them? Thanks!

  • You can use some of it in meatballs. Bread makes better consistency meatballs than bread crumbs.

  • When I have Italian Bread I slice it in half, spread butter on both halves & sprinkle garlic powder on top. Put back together & bake at 350 for 10 min. If you have more than you need you can always share with friends & neighbors. You can also freeze a few for future meals.

  • Make Panzanella. Cut bread into large cubes & let them become stale (about 3 hours). Mix with diced tomatoes, fresh basil, diced fresh mozzerella, roasted peppers, diced red onion, etc. Season with s&p. Toss lightly with oil & red wine vinegar (or used bottled dressing).
