  • I do, many more wine than champagne which is sensible since we're so much more likely to have wine than champers...

If you like champagne, and want to experience the taste in the best way possible, fluted stemware is necessary. And pouring the bubbly gently down the side to prevent sloshing (and all the air escaping, taking the taste with it) matters.

If you don't like champagne, you can drink it straight out of the can. Same with the wine, really...

  • We have wine glasses. We don't drink champagne. I am glasses fool. So I love beautiful glasses and proper ones for everything. So we have loads of glasses. But no champagne:P

  • I actually have both champagne tall flutes and wide flute in addition to red and white wine glasses. And yes, they all get used for their proper beverages. The reason that champagne flutes are small - you don't need as much. White wine is usually consumed in larger quantities than red wine. And I have both tall and wide flutes because my SIL has such a large nose that she cannot drink out of the tall flutes.
