Why do so many of us have poor vision?

I can see the age related type. Everything goes as we get older, but I've had them since I was 13,25 years! My nephew just got them at 6!
is this some sort of evolutionary thing? Have our lifestyles created this issue?

  • Yes, it called stress. You don't want to see the things around, the people or the situations. You don't want to see the future so your brain send an impulse to your eyes. Hiding. Loads of people who ease the stress get better vision after a time. Weird but true:P

  • Watching tv, laptops, cell phones. All the lights that are used in those products put stress on your eyes

  • Well in my case, there were no PC's,cellphones,or laptops in the 70's! there were Commodore 64's,but next to no one had them. I watched very little tv because we had 6 channels. We didn't get cable til I was 17. My eyes starting going bad around '81

  • I don't think it's any different than 50 years ago.
