  • I was getting bored too - then I joined a beginner running group and have been hooked every since (more than a year now). Now I run for the fun of it, not just to stay in shape. Experiment with different things like Tennis, swimming, biking, running - anything active. Hire a personal trainer and if money is tight meet only once a month for a change in routine to keep it interesting. I think finding an activity you truly enjoy is the best way to fight off boredom. Just cardio and weights can get very boring - but if its to help make you better at your fun activity, then it takes on a whole new meaning. Now that I run, it's important to have a strong core to help avoid injury, so I'm a lot better about core work and strength training because it helps me be a better runner!

  • Try aerobics, we do differant routines all the time, sometimes we do the ball, the step, jump rope, bands. If you exercise at home Denise Austin does a wonderful variety.

  • I have like 3 Jillian Michaels DVDs and on Demand with a bunch of work outs and I alternate them so I don't get bored.

  • I love yoga as well. Pilates, Tai Chi, kick-boxing....mix it up a bit!
