How often do you bathe your baby?

My baby girl is 6 months old. I give her a bath about twice a week, sometimes more. Her skin is so dry that I try to hold off. Just curious about whats normal.

  • What you do is normal. You don't want to bathe them too much cause like you said it will make their sky dry or drier.

  • My son is 7 weeks old and we bath him every other day - if your daughter has really dry skin ( which can be much worse in the winter time) slop on the baby lotion as soon as she is out of the bath before she puts on her PJ's.
Also, try & puton JOhnsons baby lotion several times a day, like after she has a diaper change or after you are wipeing her down after eating.
    Good luck!!!

  • You can add baby oil to the bath water (after you was the hair). It helps moisturise the skin.

  • I also do baths about 3 times a week. I would recomend using olive oil lotion by kiss my face. my son get dry skin and bumps during the winter and it works great. I also use it on any scratches he gets and it helps it heal.

  • We do daily baths with my 5 month old because he has eczema. Our doctor recommended bathing him daily, if not everything other day. It has helped so much with his skin. Plus we lather him with Aveeno Soothing Relief baby lotion.
