how many divorces in your family?

Count the number of siblings, aunts & uncles, cousins, and grandparents that are or have been married...... give that number and how many of those people are divorced.

For me I have 34 (including hubs side) that are married.

Only 4 are divorced...of those 4... 2 have now been remarried for over 20 yrs each, one was divorced only 2 yrs and no kids in, and the other divorced and never remarried.

The other 30 married couples range from 70 yrs married - 1 yr married.

  • My dad's brother has been divorced twice. That's the only one I know of out of 4 sets of grandparents, 6 sets of aunts/uncles, 2 sets of parents, 5 sets of 1st cousins, and 2 brothers between us. Another uncle is currently separated from his wife.

  • None........

    0 in my family
    0 in my husband's family

The newest newlyweds in our family have been married 2 years so far.. The longest running marriage has been 67 years before the passing of one of the spouses.. My husband and I have been married for 25 years ourselves.

  • I also wanted to add this..

All of the "older" marriages in both families have been arranged marriages. Older meaning: our parents generation and back... Only a few of the younger marriages have been arranged.
