healthy but cheap please help

I need a healthy dinner idea that can feed my family of 6 all of them teens and it needs to be really really really cheap.

  • 18 ct eggs
    loaf bread
    container syrup
    1 banana per person

    eggs, french toast, egg sandwich, eggs and toast, etc etc mix and match. all under $8 or so

  • vegetable lasagna? both from scratch and frozen are waaaaay pricey!
    also burger meat for all of those teens could be badly costly.

    eggs are such protein and SO CHEAP. ditto bread and banana's even this time of yr are like under 35 cents per pound.

  • Meat Loaf. Mix Chop meat, bread crumbs, eggs, grated cheese, garlic powder. Mix & bake.

  • My biggest go-to when I'm broke and need to make something for the kids to last a couple days is:

    a good hearty pasta whole grain, sometimes quinoa if I can get it on sale. A large can or "bag" of red salmon and a little parm. cheese (assuming I have some on hand already.... and if I have chicken stock or broth on hand I boil the noodles in that) and mix together. serve with or stir in canned or steam fresh veggies of whatever variety you like. VERY HEALTHY MEAL and my kids can eat on that for a few days for under $8-10 or so if I double it.
