is there anything i can do to speed the labor process i am 40 weeks 2 days and havin contractions 10-15 min apart for 2 days now

  • Nope baby will come when baby is ready. Since you are past your due date it is not much longer. Just have to be patient. But you can do things to try and keep your mind off it. I know easier said they done.

  • Try and get some rest. A tired body can't work efficiently.

  • walk, pump your breasts, have sex. Those are the best natural options I've heard of.

  • I was in nearly the same boat, but I had contractions every 5 minutes for a week. It ended up taking just a small dose of pitocin and he was born 3 hours later. Nothing else worked until that!

  • Try getting a yoga ball if you can, and just lightly bounce on it. They make you do that sometimes in hospitals. Seems to really work.

  • ugh i know your frustration girl!!!! i was 42 weeks by the time i went into labor. alot of walking & sex. try the yoga ball lightly too.

  • Sex put me in labor, early at that! Something in the sperm softens the cervix. I also walked alot, and went up and down stairs good luck momma!!!
    ohh and nipple stimulation but its a long process, google it!
