a neighor of mine came over and said she just accidently OD'd on IBU. i asked her how in the heck she could do that accidently but she said she was being stupid, was distracted and for some "odd" reason thought she was getting her IBU 200's. instead she ended up taking 8 IBU 800's. i nearly slapped her for that but she won't go to the hospital cuz she doesn't have insurance. basicly, what we need to know is what can she expect?

she's already tried to make herself throw but just couldn't get it to work except for a tiny little bit but absolutely refuses to go to the hospital

  • Call 911. Seriously, she could die. Your other option is to call poison control...

  • uhh...yeah, i'd call poison control. IBU tears at your stomach lining. She'll either have serious diahrrea, or she will eventually throw up. Lucky for her. IBU is not nearly as lethal as Tylenol. If she made that mistake with Tylenol, she could die if she did not get her stomach pumped.

She'll probably be in pain of some sort....

  • She can expect internal bleeding, and nosebleeds, blood from her ears, you need to call 911 and let them worry about ow they are going to collect the bill.

  • Yes I agree, you should call 911, if something happens you don't want that guilt on your shoulders!
