Never thought about this before...

I just answered another question and had this thought pop into my head....

Both of my sisters were teen moms. I became an Aunt at 13....so if my oldest nephew has his first child at 25, I'll be a GREAT-Aunt at the ripe old age of 38! Lol!

Anyone else a young "great aunt" , grandmother, etc?

  • my mom was a grandmother at 32, I was an aunt at 13 (both because my sister was a mother at 17). So far not a great aunt, and hopefully my nephews and nieces are smart enough to help me avoid that title.

  • My Niece had her first child when she was 19. I became a Great Aunt at the age of 24.
Then my Nephew had his first child when he was 17-18, which was not far behind when my Niece had her baby.

  • I was a mother at 17, grandmother at 32, and great grandmother at 57. I have a grandchild younger than my great grandchildren.
