  • We have a few outside projects planned. We need to replace one termite-eaten RR tie retaining wall on one side of the yard with a new stone retaining wall and add another, smaller stone retaining wall at the back of the garden to stop the soil from washing away every time it rains. Our house is over 100 years old and the basement is actually an addition out the back of the original basement (which is a stuido apartment now). It consists of two separate rooms, one of which houses our boiler and the other is just storage. We're going to finish the walls of the boiler room & add shelves & cabinets so that my DH can keep his tools in there and then we'll finish clearing out the storage room on the other side so that it can become designated storage for our gardening supplies.

  • We're moving. That'll be a huge improvement.

  • Nope, not this coming year. We built a deck this year and a new front porch, then hubby lost his job and started going back to school so budget is tight now and we're just going to hang on for the ride and hope we can even stay in the house.

  • Nothing major really. Just finished up some big improvements; only things planned for the upcoming year will be to hire painters to do the interior.

  • Yes, we are only half way through our renovation so we still have a ton of work to do. The downstairs bath still needs a toliet and the entire kitchen needs redone. We also need to decide on flooring for downstairs and have that done.

  • Not big just some improvements like I want to repaint some walls and get the carpet taken out of the bathroom and heat installed in the basement if the guy will ever call back it's been 2 months now since we called I'm getting irritated about that there are only just a couple people who hook up radiant heat in our area

  • Heh, does hopefully moving count? We really want to finish fixing up this house (we have a few little projects, nothing major) and sell it to buy a bigger one. If we manage that and buy the one we're looking at, we'll need to put a new central air unit and a few new windows in that house.
