  • Disney. Absolutely first rate! They have a dining room that's adults only, that's very nice for a date night.

  • It really depends on the age of the kids. If they are young, Disney for sure. If they are older (tweens or teens), then Carnival would be a better bet because there's just more for them to do.

  • Carnival was good for us. They were very kid friendly and had lots of activies geared towards kids. They also had the kids camps.

  • I can only speak for what we did, and the Disney cruise was great.

  • We just got home on the 5th from a Carnival cruise with our girls. They had a blast. They are 2 and 5 and really enjoyed going to Camp Carnival... we will not go on a Disney cruise as Dh does not want to "pay for the name"....we went for 7 days for 4 people and had a balcony and paid $2500 before excursions. We did pay for my mom's excursions as well as ours so after that it was a little over $3K. It was a steal...we cruise a lot and this was the first time we had taken the girls...we've already put a deposit down on our next cruise and it will be Carnival as well to Bermuda.
Typically, I prefer RC or Celebrity, but Carnival was awesome with the kids.

  • Disney! Their childcare programs are top notch, with great hours for the parents so you can stay out nice and late. The kids LOVED going to 'lab' they got to make things like flubber and the counselors played games and had dance parties. The cabins are bigger than most cruise ships too, so it isn't quite as cramped. I can't tell you who had a better time, the adults or the kids. The kids all but cried as we got off the ship.

  • We all LOVED Carnival. Our son asks us everyday if we can go back on our boat so he can go to camp (Camp Carnival). And it's MUCH cheaper than Disney.

  • There is Disney, Royal Caribbean and Carnival . Really depends on your budgets and your needs.
