Have you called your elder relatives to wish them a Merry Christmas or Happy New Year?

It means SO MUCH to our older, often house-bound, relatives to get a phone call.

I called my Great Aunt (93) yesterday. She was so thrilled to know someone thought of her.

  • Nope, I bring them to my house. My great aunt (84) was thrilled to be able to spend the holidays with us. And we don't just visit with her during the holidays, but all the time.

  • Nope, but then all of mine are dead.... that must mean I'm the elder relative! Yikes!

  • I combine the two. I always call and wish a happy new year at the same time since they are usually asleep at midnight. I could call the next day but Id rather kill two birds with one stone.

  • My older relatives are all SDA (seven day adventist) so I did not call them because they don't celebrate the holidays. I would though.
