What songs did you play at your reception for which people?

When I get married, I want to dance these songs with these people:

My son: I Love Your Love The Most by Eric Church
My dad: Because You Loved Me by Celine Dion or Butterfly Kisses
My Hubby: Feels Like Home by Chantal Kreviazuk

  • I didn't play any. I had a slightly untraditional wedding. The main songs that were played for me were Science Fiction Double Feature reprise when we walked out of the chapel and Broken by Seether featuring Amy Lee for my husband and me.

  • At my son's wedding this past summer:
Father/daughter dance - Butterfly Kisses by Bob Carlyle
Mother/son dance - You've Got A Friend by Carol King
I can't remember the name of the song for the first couple dance

  • Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring: recessional
Roberta Flack and Pebo Bryson, Tonight I Celebrate My Love For You: bride & groom
    Barbara Striesand, Evergreen: with parents

Much more important to me was the selection of songs that would NOT be played. In 1985, I was not going to pay to watch or listen to the Chicken Dance... happily a long time before I'd have had to add Sandstorm, the Macarena and a number of other dance club horrors.
