  • Just jump, that is a very good cardio workout. Try jumping for 2 minutes straight, get down on the floor and do some resistance training for another 2 minutes and repeat for as many times as you can without any rest in between. Have you and your daughter do this together by switching, one jumps while one does resistance training. Interval training is a really great way to get exercise.

  • Oh, and to add... While you are on the trampoline try to do a different jump for each 2 minutes. For instance, for the first 2 minutes try just jumping like you are jumping rope, then the next time you get on try running in place, jumping with high knees (bring your knees up to waist level and slap knees with hands), run with high knees, run while kicking your heels to your butt, jumping jacks, etc... Then when you are doing resistance training try doing one exercise per 2 minutes. For instance, bicep curls, tricep dips, shoulder press, shoulder raises, lunges, calf raises, sit ups, etc... That way each muscle group is getting a great workout.
