Do husbands in real life forget anniversaries?

It's a running joke on tv shows "honey, do you know what today is?" but does it happen in real life? I can't imagine my husband or anyone else I know to forget their anniversary. It also helps that ours' is easy to remember 6/6.

  • My hubby is funny, a few weeks before ours he's be like "Hey it's our anniversary in a few weeks" and then have these little reminders. BUT come the day of our anniversary he usually forgets, until a day or two after. I find it funny cause he is always trying to remind me and then when the day comes he forgets. In all fairness he usually is working and unless he writes a work order he doesn;t even realize what day it is.

  • My husband will sometimes remember before I do. We don't really do anything major or get gifts, so sometimes we get so busy in life it sneaks up on us. But we do try and eat maybe a dinner out together that night, even if we bring the kids. I think it's just become "funny" to use that in TV. It's stereotypical I guess.

  • I got married on Saint Patrick's day so he would not forget, no excuses here!

  • He doesn't forget. He also doesn't forget my birthday. =)
However, he doesn't make the big deal out of it I wish he would. He never grew up with big birthday parties, but I did. I've always been more about big celebrations than him.
