How do you know if your child has signs of autism?

I have a 3 yr old boy.

    delayed speech
    over-reaction to sound,light,crowds
    MUST follow a self set routine or all hell breaks loose!

    also if you have concerns I would talk to your child's doc about your concerns. Another resource is to call your local human services and ask them for the numbers of any local help me grow or places like that.

  • Autism is not a "cookie cutter disorder" where everyone is the same, it is a big, broad spectrum. So what one person does, another may/may not do. Having said that, if you want to find the signs of Autism then google search it and see if that applies to your child. If you suspect your child does have Autism, then talk to your child's doctor and ask him/her for a referral to have your child evaluated.
