Glue for Plastic-to-Plastic?

Playmobil sets for the kids - fall apart so easily with play. I've used super glue as well as hot glue, neither have had tremendous success. What is the best glue for plastic-to-plastic gluing projects?

  • You need a 2 part epoxy that is specifically made for plastics.

  • You may have more success using epoxy. Be careful using it though, once it sets, it's permanent. Good luck!

  • hot glue would be my best guess. I know there is special glue that deteriorates the plastic a bit, then you put the adhesive on it, and attach them, but that is for large plastic pipes.

I don't ever have good luck with plastic and super glue.

  • Gorilla Glue. Also Playmobile shouldn't be falling apart easily. I have my sons from 12 yrs ago and never had an issue. I would contact Playmobile and let them know.

  • Thanks! I've heard of this glue, but have never used it. Hardware store buy or craft store buy?

  • You can find epoxy in your local hardware store or in the modeling section of your local craft store.
