Used Rust Remover on Iron Furnace

Our iron stove was rusty so my husband used Rustoleum Rust Remover. After he did this, I read that it shouldn't be put on surfaces that exceed 200 degrees F. How would I fix this mistake so that we can safely use the stove Thanks!

  • I would contact the stove manufacturer or contact the product manufacturer or one of the DYI websites.

  • You need to remove the product. And then there are products that can be used on high temp surfaces.
