Small townhouse, lots of stuff! How?!

Wondering if anyone had any suggestions for organizing our small townhouse, especially DD's room, she has SOOO much stuff and a very small room!!! We don't have a lot of money to go out buying tons of stuff and it has to be child friendly and easily accessible (she is 4 y/o and very independent)

  • Pare down her possessions. There are five of us living in a 900sqft house and we do just fine. We have to keep an eye on how many things we are collecting and purge, purge, purge.

  • I would take the doors off the closet and hang a curtain instead. Then I would rearrange her closet to have toy storage in there. I would put shelves and bins in there. When she's a little older and not at risk for rolling off the bed, I would get her a loft bed that allows room for reading/play underneath. Here are some examples of what I would do in the closet. I would allow room for clothes, though.

  • I agree reduce - only keep the stuff she loves, brings her joy or has to have - if you are like me it is usually mom who keeps all the "stuff". Good Luck!
