Do you count from the last day of your last period or the first day of your last period? adult content

When calculating how long it has been since your last period for TTC or the gestation of a pregnancy, do you count from the last day of your last period or from the first day. You can stop reading here, but here's some random history not really important to the question: My period usually comes in the first 7 days of the calendar month, most often the first 3. In November, I thought I might be pregnant but my period just came really late, on the 16th. It hasn't come at all since then. So is that 46 days since my last period (since the 16th)? I took a test two or three weeks ago, negative. I think my period may just be all wonky, though it's never done this before. If it doesn't show up in another week, I'll retest.

  • 1st day you had a good flow... my doc said that if you spot the first day, you shouldn't count that.
