When can I start tumbling?

My daughter just turned 20 months old Dec. 28 & she already does somersaults(for the most part) and loves to dance and jump around. Should I look into putting her into a class for tumbling or that sort of thing? Or wait a little while longer & just get my groove thang on with her? lol :)

  • Check around your local area. Some require that they be 3 but some offer mommy and me type classes started at 18 months.

  • Good idea! I never even thought about their being age limits & such. Thanks!

  • Yes, JeremysMom is right... Most tumbling classes offer mommy and me from 18 months to 3 years and then preschool tumbling until kindergarten.

  • dancingThere are all kinds of cool classes you can put her in. Some start young... also look into what your city does. Some cities have there own classes and such for kids for half the price. :) IM SO EXCITED for my little girl to get to that age! Have fun!

  • Where I live actual tumbling is 3yrs and up.....I took a baby class with my dd when she was 18 months...they just let her run free through the gymnasium....she had a blast!
