  • A typical weekend - breakfast will be like weekdays, cinnamon rolls or cereal or whatever the kids want - cereal is boxed of course, bread for toast is bought, cinnamon rolls or muffins are scratch, oatmeal is the real stuff (not instant).

Dinners - usually homemade, but usually leftovers from other meals - which were homemade. Unless the kids aren't terribly hungry, then they like crackers & cheese and some fruit, or something like that - but 80% of the time it's leftovers. That's Saturday. Sundays we almost always eat dinner with the ILs, and it's all homemade.

Suppers - Saturday - leftovers or fresh homemade. Sundays - either pancakes from scratch or frozen pizza, or leftovers of homemade meals from earlier in the week.

So yeah, at least 75% of our weekend meals are still homemade/scratch. Same as during the week. I use very little convenience food, frozen pizza is about the extent of it!

  • Typical weekend- Breakfast- instant oatmeal or cereal (from a box) w/toast and fruit or if my husband gets up he makes eggs and toast
Saturday lunch-Leftovers or soup (so either reheated or soup from a can)
Saturday Dinner- Depends what we did for Friday dinner, if we ordered in, then I cook (semi-homemade)

Sunday always cereal or oatmeal before church
Sunday Lunch- grilled cheese or something equally as easy
    Sunday Dinner- home made,

I usually do semi homemade stuff. I don't really like being in the kitchen, so I try the easiest route w/o using a complete box.
I don't make my own spaghetti sauce or anything easy like that that comes in a jar.

  • Yesterday

breakfast: dippy eggs and pancakes with oj and coffee (obviously dd didn't drink the coffee)
lunch: (dd)--pbj --with all natural pb(made with palm oil), with organic low sugar strawberry jam on stone ground whole grain bread with apple slices ----I had a cup of shredded chicken chili
dinner: (dd)--ham and black beans with green beans, I don't remember what I ate..weird
    We had fruit for snacks

    Today:

breakfast: dippy eggs with ham steak and one slice of toast--my daughter ate the other slice of toast dipping it in my eggs..she also had a whole wheat bagel with cream cheese and grapes
lunch: dd--wasn't very hungry so she had more grapes, orange slices, cheese and some crackers...I had a boca burger and a salad and we both shared my apple
dinner: Ientil ole stew over brown rice with a side of asparagus.

Everything homemade except the bread and boca burger.

  • I dont remember what we ate all weekend lol But I know We ate out once, chinese! Breakfasts around here are always prepackaged I guess you could say, they are ceral or instant oatmeal. Lunches are technically prepackaged as well, ravioli, mac & Cheese or sandwhiches, and dinners are always made by my husband the chef :) Unless we eat out for dinner which we do about once per week :)
