Holes in Knees of Little Boys Pants(PIOG)

Anyone else have a highly energetic son(mine is nearly 7)that wears the knees out of his pants within a minute of wearing them?? LOL

Is there a pants brand that is "tougher" than others or is it mainly a "keep a healthy supply of patches on hand" situation??

His favorite thing is sliding to a stop so he goes through knees like crazy and he just got some new pants on Christmas and has already started wearing a hole!!!

  • lol yeah, my mom just kept patches around when we were growing up. It didn't matter what brand of pants we could put a hole into anything.

  • Definitley patch them. If you're good with a sewing machine, use an old pair and make inner patches out of those, they'll wear better than the chintzy store-bought patches (I've learned from experience!).

  • Go to Sears and ask the about their replacement policy. If your kid wears them out before he ot grows them then they give you another pair.

  • All the jeans my son wore last year to school ended up with holes in the knees. I think those jeans came from Target. The jeans I bought him for this year came from Old Navy. So far no holes.
