How can I get our only son to become more independant?

He groups in with our girls and doesnt do anything by himself really.

  • I don't think I would worry about him just yet. Most children, given the choice, would rather play with someone than to play alone. Independence will come, and he may even be more independent now than you think he is.

  • I agree with Nannyb. Encourage him to do things for himself at home.
