advice please

my 5 mnth old has some slight irritation on his neck from it being most there from slobbing...i dont want it to get worse!! any tips? i have bibs on him and keep changing them as they get moist but its not helping too much :( and i keeppatting it dry as well

  • corn starch or i know it sounds crazy but but cream.. it keeps the moister out and helps heal it..

  • You can put a little cornstarch on that area as well. Cornstarch helps dry things out.

  • Keep it dry as much as possible and do not use lotion on that area

  • I agree with pp. Keep it dry and clean! Ask your ped if there are any powders you can use to absorb excess moisture. Good luck.

  • Try not to excessively wipe. That alone can cause irritation. Use baby wipes when he eats. And aside from starch baby powder is also good.

  • my baby had this, and sometime it smelled, its actually yeast, they can give you some nystantin cream and it will get rid of it pretty quickly
