Obama by the numbers

I came across this today. Very interesting, especially on the number of speeches, statements and remarks.

But other numbers from 2010 add shading and perspective to other aspects of the second year of the Obama presidency:

Speeches, statements and remarks: 491

-Since taking office: 883

He's been in office for less than 730 days and has treated us to how many "speeched, statements and remarks"? Didn't he say the reason that they lost so bad in the mid-term elections was that they didn't get their message out? If he averages some kind of statement more than once a day, how is that possible, or have people just stopped listening?

  • They lost because America doesn't want government crammed down their throats against their will and their children left with no choice but to depend on the government

  • The young people who put Obama in office, didn't vote in the mid term election.

As expected!! And because most of them likely have no idea that the REAL POWER lies in Congress! "Everyday politics" are boring when compared to being "a part of history!" Besides with their short attention spans, they've likely moved on to whatever is "in" now! LOL

  • Republicans won in the mid term elections due to the poor economy and low turnout of among democrats. The young people who put Obama in office, didn't vote in the mid term election.

  • Why didnt the democrats show though? Thats the question. They were fired up in 2008 and should have been in 2010. Most were no longer enchanted and didnt see the change they wanted. So they stayed home. If it happens again in 2012 then their party is out.

  • People have stopped listening because even though he gives many speeches, he really doesn't say much.

  • As some of the other ladies have said, the people that put him in office have lost interest. Additionally, the midterms really took the wind out of the democratic sails; people aren't listening to the "message" they want to see action.

  • Is this a problem? I think presidents always give speeches. IF he did not give any speeches, you would be bitching about that. If you ask me, both parties EQUALLY suck! Nothing is going to change, no matter which party is in office. People that think otherwise, well they are living in fairy tales.
