Do you give your toddler vitamins??

I have never given my dd vitamins...

ive never known anyone that DID give their LO vitamins.

is it really a necessity??


her pedi knows she doesnt get them as well.

  • Both my boys were preemies so they needed vitamins at first.

  • Yes My son is 3 and he gets a multivitamin with flouride daily. Its a perscription, and the dentist was for the flouride as well.

  • When they were old enough to ask for the, yes - I had 1 child crawling up and begging for one a 9 months when the older kids were getting them. Didn't do vitamin drops or anything, just chewables (and not flinstones or gummies or other crap like that either) once they were a year or so old.

  • i give my son the gummy kind but he has autism and is a picky eater so its just to make sure hes getting enough vitamins

  • my pedi wants us to use a chewable multi with fluoride but we don't...we use a chewable multi-vitamin without fluoride. Always have...since they were old enough to chew them. they also both get omega 3 fish oils every day.

  • i never worried about vitamins until my DD, shes 2 yrs and is going thru this picky i dont want to eat anything stage... so we thru in vitamins and she thinks its a yummy treat

  • Not necessary, but yes I give them to them. I figure it doesn't hurt and it might help. At least I hope it does, my youngest is always coming down with something. And this way if we haven't gotten any fresh fruits or veggies, they still get some of the those nutrients.
