Personal Info on the web

Pass it on to everyone you know.

There's a new site called WWW.SPOKEO.COM that's a new online USA phone book
w/personal information: everything from pics you've posted on FB or the web,
your approx credit score, home value, address, phone numbers, income,
age..etc. They offer all in one central place for a small fee. If you do not
wish to have your collected personal information posted on the site you can
remove yourself by a) searching your name, b) finding the URL of your page,
then c) go to the bottom right corner of the page and click on PRIVACY to
remove yourself. Depending on how many places you lived you may have to do this more than once.

  • Yahoo and MSN lets you have as many emails as you want. I have one that I use for junk mail, when someone insists on an email address for me to sign up to something. Then I never check it but it is a valid email address and cost me nothing more than the 2 minutes to set it up.

  • Only problem is that it only allows one removal per email address and I have more than one listing but only one email address.

  • No, you actually have to go to the email address to complete the removal process. I tried putting in a fake one.
