If you had lived during WW!!, with your husband overseas, would you rather be a farm wife trying to keep things going, or Rosie the riveter working in a factory?

  • Farm Wife... more to do to keep me distracted :) And I like to be able to sustain myself. I like to know that if he doesn't come home, we'll be alright. The factory ladies lost their jobs when the men came back... unstable!! Farm ladies were self-relient and did their own thing. :)

  • factory. one of the best documentaries ive ever seen was about real Rosies and while it was hard and dangerous work they had such pride to be helping the war effort. plus i bet it would be a lot harder to run a whole farm by myself.

  • I'd suck at both and both would suck but I'm going to chose the factory because I can't even keep a tomato plant alive let alone a whole farm.

  • Had I been living during WW2 I would most likely not have been married. I also would have become a nurse at a military base.

  • I would be utterly useless on a farm but I think I could rock a factory job well!

  • I would've rather been the farm wife. I grew up around it, so it wouldn't be a big deal for me.
