I paid for both of my children's college educations, ten years each. My ds got a bill from the college here at my house last October. I called him about it, he said he would take care of it. When he came home for the holidays, he opened another letter, saying the bill had been turned over to a collection agency. I am bound to pay 1/2 of their his education, and I have paid 100% until this bill. I am walking around without the heat on to cover my own bills, now my son wants me to pay this bill too. He makes a damn good salary so I say he should pay it. My ds is saying he will contact his dad's attorney if I don't pay the bill. My attorney passed away in December, so I have to get a new attorney. What would you do?

If the bill is not in your name you are under no obligation to pay it.
