What are the odds? Do you think I may be grandparent to twins one day?

My sister AND brother are grandparents of twin boys!

  • Depends on the kind of twins --and the age of your children when they have children.

Older mothers are much more likely to have twins (pure evolution, there: older mothers are less likely to have babies survive) and only fraternal twins run in families.

  • I would say they are pretty high, if the twins run in your family.

  • Twins are honestly mostly flukes of nature. Fraternal twins - fertile woman or fertility drugs. Identical twins - the egg splits at just the right time.
You have a chance...same as anyone else.

  • Could be. Its the mother's side that decides the amount of children there will be. The father has nothing to do with it so if twins run in the female's sides of the family (all generations included), you have a good chance.
